David L. Milligan enlisted in the United States Navy in 1985 and served our Country until the early 90’s.  While serving, Mr. Milligan began his Collegiate Studies ultimately graduating California State University Fresno in 1993 with a Philosophy/Pre-Law Bachelor’s Degree (Including approximately 40 Semester Units of Calculus Based Physics, Engineering, Theoretical Mathematics and other sciences).   After completing his undergraduate work, he began Law School graduating in the top quarter of his graduating class in 1997 from San Joaquin College of the Law with a Juris Doctorate.  While in Law School, Mr. Milligan was honored by being invited to join the San Joaquin College of Law, Law Review (only the top Law students receive this invitation).  Immediately thereafter, Mr. Milligan was blessed by his passing the California State Bar Examination and immediately opened the Law Offices of David L. Milligan, APC.  However, while in Law School, Mr. Milligan Clerked for several Litigation Firms in the San Joaquin Valley learning his craft.  Mr. Milligan was then Admitted to the United States District Courts and practices in both Federal and California State Venues.

While practicing, Mr. Milligan received Two President’s Awards for “Outstanding Advocacy in Civil Litigation” from the Central California Trial Lawyer’s Association (“CCTLA”).  Mr. Milligan then served as President of the CCTLA in 2005.  Before his 10th year of practice, Mr. Milligan’s peers (both Plaintiff’s and Defense Counsel alike) awarded him the Martindale-Hubbel Distinguished BV Rating, which is the highest peer-reviewed rating one can obtain if practicing less than 10 years.

Mr. Milligan is further honored to belong to the following prestigious organizations: Association of Trial Lawyers of America, American Bar Association, California State Bar Association, Fresno County Bar Association, Central California Trial Lawyer’s Association (Past President), Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, and Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles.  Mr. Milligan is also a member of Million Dollar Advocates Forum which has only a few hundred members Nationwide which limits it’s members to Trial Lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience, and excellence in Advocacy by achieving a Trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of One Million dollars or more.
